Pink on the Lake

This view is of Bridgeport Lake, but Bridgeport, California, on the east side of the Sierras, north of Mono Lake, Lee Vining, and Bodie. From a distance I was puzzled by the bright pink on the water. On closer inspection, the pink was from flowers of an aquatic plant called Water Smart Weed. I thought it gave a very dramatic look, and chose it for one of my pink entries for the day. 10/29/18 Judith Sparhawk
