After crossing the long bridge, decided to explore this area of Washington for a morning. Went to Cape Disappointment, including North Head, where the North Head Lighthouse is. This was the view.
This business's sign made me smile. It was on the beach at Cannon Beach, home of Haystack, the large monolith that acts as a nestin site for many sea birds, including Tufted Puffins. I saw many of these puffins flying around Haystack.
This shot was taken part way across the Astoria-Megler Bridge, ( one-handed as I drove), close to that point across the Columbia River that announces the Oregon-Washington line. The bridge is over 4 miles long--that's LONG!
