The Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Northport, MI, is at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, which separates Lake Michigan from Grand Traverse Bay. It is within Leelanau State Park. It was built in 1852, and continues to act as a guide for sailors and ships.

Taking a breather while climbing the steep dunes at Sleeping Bear Dunes park, I noticed the graceful lines of of the dune grasses. I liked this one with its shadow on the sand. Michigan, June 2019
