~ Walking in the early morning along a forest trail, this spiderweb glistened in rainbow colors. I was happy that my camera captured the colored sheen.
Ready for Take-off ~ This Bonaparte's Gull was lifting off from its perch in Astotin Lake on Elk Island, in Alberta, Canada.
Red-necked Grebe ~ This is a bird that I've only seen in winters in Southern California, and then only rarely. Alberta is a major nesting/breeding site for them, so I was finally able to see them in their breeding finery, with the red neck for which they are named. They were on many lakes throughout the region.
