Red and White ~ I loved the white of the tree trunks against the red leaves of the surrounding bushes.
~ These beautiful trees were in the park above the river and across from the view of downtown Edmonton. Down among the trees were Black-capped Chickadees, Red-breasted Nuthatches, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers. I had a little trouble reconciling seeing these trees and birds in sight of the downtown skyline!
Edmonton Downtown and Muttart Conservancy ~ This view of downtown shows the capitol building in the distance, with hot air balloons, no less. The glass structures in the foreground are Muttart Conservancy, four separate biosphere environments, with different ecological gardens inside each one. They allow a garden experience even during the sometimes harsh winters of Alberta.
