This family group of Plains Bison included males, females and young calves of various sizes. This was a stand-off between the herd and my little red rental car.
~ These Plains Bison were photographed on Elk Islands in Alberta, Canada. It was fun seeing them grazing in the grass, going about their business, seeming unconcerned that I was nearby.
White Admiral ~ There were lots of butterflies in Alberta in July. Many were fritillaries of one kind or another. This White Admiral was a new one for me, and I saw several during my travels.
