One afternoon during my recent visit to Edmonton, Alberta, it snowed quite heavily. Being from Southern California, I don't get much chance to photograph snow in progress. This was one shot that I got that afterooon.
Snow in March is considered more of a spring thing, but it was really coming down that afternoon. In the foreground are Mountain Ash berries, the preferred food of Bohemian Waxwings this time of year.
The nuthatch was photographed this week in Edmonton, Alberta, in the forest around the Saskatchewan River Valley. It's still snowy in March, and in fact, snowed 3 or 4 times in the last week.
