Turning around after shooting the cypress grove, I saw these eucalyptus trees reflected in the water left from rain the night before. I liked the golden light of early morning.

During a dawn stop at Morro Rock, eating breakfast in the car, this Western Gull flew up to the hood of the car, perhaps hoping for handouts. It stayed on the hood for quite awhile, only hopping down after I started the car and began driving away.
