Using my imagination to revisit the redwood forests of Northern California, via photos from a long ago trip. This image was from Prairie Creek State Park, early in the morning when the forest was still fog-shrouded, before it burned off. The thought of the cool fog air on my face sounds delightful, as we are still having summer temps (only got up to 102 today). I am so hoping that this beautiful area remains safe from the fires. 10/4/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
Reading about the on-going wildfires in California, where over 1 million acres have burned since the middle of summer, my heart ached for the northern California forests. It made me go back to older photos from a trip to that area many years ago. This shot is of a walking trail through the redwood forest at Prairie Creek State Park. It was early morning, still shaded on the forest floor, with light coming through the trees. 10/3/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
