In the area beside Morro Rock, while shooting the sea otters, this Western Gull posed on a nearby rock. I liked the cloud display behind him, despite its portent of more rain to come.
This image was selected as Imaging Resources' Photo of the Day for March 14, 2017. This teal is showing why it is named Blue-winged. Often when it is sitting on the water, the blue doesn't show. I don't think I've ever seen it this evident, so was happy with how it turned out.
This Blue-winged Teal may not be showing his blue wing patch, but was "talking" to me. I liked his reflection.
