This flycatcher was photographed at the Patagonia Roadside Rest, out of Patagonia, AZ. This bird mostly lives and breeds in West Mexico, but some pairs come to very south east Arizona to breed. It is always a treat to see one.
Varied Bunting ~ This beautiful bunting was photographed in Madera Canyon, Arizona. He was one of my target birds for the Proctor Road area, and it was the first time I have managed to photograph this flitty little bird.
~ I hiked up the Carrie Nation Mine Trail in Madera Canyon, in search of the Elegant Trogons. I did manage to see two of them, but did not get photographs. Along the trail I did find this vireo on her nest, and I was happy to come back with several shots.
