While traveling in Madera Canyon in Arizona, this caterpillar attached itself to the side view mirror on the car. When we stopped, I took a moment to photograph it. I don't know what kind of caterpillar or the moth/butterfly it will become.
This is a small part of an old historic ranch in southeast Arizona, amid the Cienega Grasslands. It was photographed during the monsoon season, with wonderful clouds in the sky.
At the entrance to the Visitor's Center at Saguaro National Park East, this ceramic bas relief mural shows the plants, animals, birds, reptiles and even insects found in the park. At larger sizes, the details of this mural are quite charming. 10/16/18
