The Tufted Puffins and Horned Puffins were nesting and feeding around the same islands off the Kenai Peninsula.
On the outlying islands from Seward, Alaska, the two species of puffins we saw were Tufted Puffins and Horned Puffins. This one is aTufted, based on the long yellow tufts attached at the back of its head. When they fly, the tufts stream out in the wind.
