Lavender & White
At the Lavender Festival in Cherry Vallley, CA, the this lovely lady was walking in the fields of lavender.
Walking in the Trees
Beside the lavender fields there are rows of olive trees, forming walkways of dappled sunshine. I liked the look of this woman, and she walked between the trees.

Smile for the Camera
These two darling children were plopped down by an old hay rake for their mother to take their photo. Even though I couldn't see their smiles from my angle, I thought it made a cute shot.
In the Lavender
A lovely lady in the lovely lavender fields--her dress almost matched the color of the flowers.

The E-Z Lift Grader
Based on the writing on this old piece of farm equipment, it is the Galion E-Z Lift Grader, patented in September of 1925. I liked all the rust on this relic at the lavender fields.

The Doorway
I am always attracted to doorways, and I liked this one at one of the buildings at 1 2 3 Farm, the site of the Lavender Festival, Cherry Valley, CA.

Bee in the Lavender
Bee in the Lavender ~ Out in the lavender fields at the festival, the scent was heavenly, and apparently the honey bees thought so too--they were buzzing everywhere.
Skipper in the Lavender
At the Lavender Festival, the sun was shining, birds were singing, bees buzzing, and dragonflies and butterflies flitting. This little Skipper sat still long enough for his picture.
The Cactus Garden
Talk about a jungle of cactus plants! A view at 123 Farm where the Lavender Festival is held.
The Fairy Duster Tree
Out in the middle of the lavender fields, was this large tree covered with pink flowers. Getting a closer view, it is fairy dusters, which I'd never seen in such a large tree form.
Fairy Duster Blooms
This is a close view of the flowers on the Fairy Duster tree in the lavener fields.
Girl in the Lavender
This young lady was photographed in a field of not-yet blooming lavender at the Lavender Festival last weekend. This is my last post for a couple of weeks, as I will be off birding and shooting in northern Michigan, leaving for the airport in 15 minutes. I'll be baaaaccckk! 6/12/19 Judith Sparhawk
