When at the Lavender Festival in Cherry Valley, CA, it was fun finding old pieces of farm equipment out in the fields. This was one. I don't know the name of this piece of machinery (maybe some Smugger will know), but I'm assuming it was used at some point in doing farm chores. I liked the contrast between the hard metal and the soft lavender flowers, with the row of olive trees in the background. 6/27/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
I ran across the pics I took at the Lavender Festival last June, and saw this one of a young lady out in the field of tall not-yet-blooming lavender. I liked her hat and the dreamy look on her face. This image was filtered with Topaz filters. 1/9/20 Judith Sparhawk
According to the writing on this old piece of farm equipment, this is a Galion E-Z Lift Grader, patented in September of 1925. Good thing it's identified (apparently everyone and his brother knew what a hay rake is) so I know what it is. I liked the rusty color and all the parts of this very different machine. It was out by the lavender fields at 123 Farm. 6/29/21 www.sparhawkphotogrraphy.com
