OEU Building at Dusk
This is the lower level of the building in which the Los Angeles Skyscape is housed. Upon returning to the building after dinner, I saw these ever-moving designs on the screens at street level.
Eastern Clock Tower
The photoshoot at Skyscape in Los Angeles, was shooting from the 70th floor of the OUE Building. After sunset the lights came on. I liked the look of this lighted clock tower.

Mural in the Making
I photographed this mural on the side of a building in downtown LA, from the 70th floor of the Los Angeles Skyscape. It wasn't until I was at home and saw it on my computer, that I saw the men working on this mural-in-progress.
Orchids White
In side the Skyscape site it was very elegant. Two vases of these white orchids were displayed in the elevator alcove.
Echo Park from the 70th Floor
Way off in the distance from the Skyscape building in Los Angeles, I recognized Echo Park, where I have photographed lotus flowers. With my 300 mm zoom, a little cropping, and a lot of haze removal, the park shows up pretty well, even from the 70th floor above the city.
Stripes and Reflections
Walking around in downtown LA, it was fun shooting a few of the buildings I passed by. I liked the reflections and colors.

The Last Bookstore
I finally had a chance to visit this huge used bookstore in downtown Los Angeles. It was fun to wander inside this great space and to photograph little corner here and there.

The Roller Skater
This odd and quite unique assemblage or sculpture was hanging on a wall in The Last Bookstore. It wasn't until I had this shot home and on my computer that I noticed she was wearing roller skates.

The Last Bookstore in LA has room after room of used books. A couple of them are behind vault doors.
Looking Through the Book Loop
At The Last Bookstore, a huge used bookstore in downtown Los Angeles, this "book loop" was fun to photograph. When this young lady stood in the circle of books, I couldn't resist taking a quick shot.
Off the Wall ~ This strange painted figure caught my eye. He? She? appears to be stepping down off the wall. Viewed in larger sizes, the strangeness of this painting is more apparent. I played with it a bit for fun, but the painting is as it was painted.
White Cowboy Hat ~ Must be the good guy--I liked his profile.

I liked this interesting architectural detail on a building in Los Angeles--could picture this octagonal room as a special place to just "be".
Lady in Chinatown ~ Los Angeles' Chinatown is a great place to view people and architeture.
Palace Theater
~ This defunct theater still had an intriguing look to it. I'm not sure if Psycho was the last movie shown there, or if it was added to the marquee for effect.
Disney Concert Hall ~ This is one view of the amazing concert hall in Los Angeles.
LA Cityscape
~ Yet another view of downtown Los Angeles buildings.
Decorative Light Pole ~ Los Angeles has some beautiful old buildings and decorative light fixtures. Photography is a great way to stop and see the details.
Super Grill ~ This decorative sign was on one of the restaurants in the St. Vincent Square food court area.
Baptismal Baby ~ Most weeks at the Catholic Church at Olvera Street, baptisms are held on Saturday mornings. The boys and girls are dressed in white for the ceremonies. This little girl, held in her father's arms, was just precious.
Rat Love ~ This man happily showed everyone his pet rat, including kissing it. It takes all kinds.....

Pink Caddie
This small pink Cadilac was a decorative piece in a fun food court, St. Vincent Square, Los Angeles.
"Red" ~ An eye-catching young woman walking along the street.
Just Sittin' ~ I made a black and white version of this old man sitting on the sidewalk.
Outside the Temple ~ Who knew that there was a Buddhist Temple hiidden between tall buildings. This young man was leaving the temple as I walked by.
Beauty in the Flowers
~ This beautiful young lady was visiting Olvera Street. She posed for pictures, and revealed that she is a journalist from Columbia, currently living in Panama.
Child at the Cathedral ~ This was one of two children playing in an outside pation at the cathedral.
Just Sitting ~ This was one of many people possibly living on the street, just sitting or lying on the sidewalks.
Los Angeles Union Station
~ A Los Angeles adventure begins beautifully at the train station. This is a view of some of the station windows.
Sculpture at the B of A ~ This large metal sculpture was in the patio in front of the Bank of America building.
Angel at the Window
~ This etched window was one of several at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the Catholic cathedral in LA.

The Red Arch
Glass Towers through the Red Arch ~ The sculpture in front of the Bank of America building made a perfect frame for these beautiful glass skycrapers.
Watching You!
Eye in the Sign ~ Wandering the streets of LA, you never know what you will find. This sign was outside of an office building. Why it has an eye in the knot hole, I have no idea, but it "caught my eye". When viewed in larger sizes, the eye is very realistic.
Los Angeles Union Station Skylight
~ This beautiful window in the ceiling at the train station gives a decorative feel. Viewed in the larger sizes shows the intricate details of the glass and metal artistry.
Caballero Walking ~ I liked the palm tree shadows on this wall at the cathedral, and felt it was a perfect spot to capture this man walking by.
