I don't really celebrate Halloween, and it looks like it will pretty much be non-event this year anyway. However I do have fun playing with the elements, getting ready for the day, such as black cats, jack-o-lanterns, and of course the traditional raven with a ruffled collar. ;-) One of those "just for fun" pieces that came into being last night just in the nick of time. BTW: The Smuggers have spoken, and the majority seemed disinclined to wear the colorful snakeskin boots from yesterday, so I guess the candy corn wins out! 10/29/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
Wishing you all a great day, even if we are celebrating differently from the usual. Of course our Canadian friends had their Thanksgiving last month, and our friends from France don't celebrate it at all, but I hope the rest of us celebrate as best we can, with or without our usual friends and family. This metal turkey was added to the window of the jewelry store in downtown Redlands, the one that had the copper mesh pumpkins before. I decided to play with the images for a Thanksgiving greeting. 11/26/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
After I got off work today I walked up and down the main downtown Redlands street, window shopping with my cell phone. (I actually started out with my Canon G12, but in trying to take my first shot, the camera reminded me that the darn memory card was still in my computer, not in the camera! I had to walk back to my car for my cell phone.) Almost everywhere the windows had suddenly transformed into Christmas. At one jewelry store I was pleased to see a more fall themed decoration. These pumpkins made me think of yesterday's champagne bottles, covered in copper mesh. Still, it was nice to see somewhere that wasn't red and green and all twinkly lights. I will appreciate all that soon enough, but maybe AFTER Thanksgiving, please... 11/15/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
