A sepia version of this image as a tribute to the lives lost in the Las Vegas shooting, October 1, 2017.
It has been so hot lately it has been hard to get out to walk. The other night I stepped out after dark (was still close to 100 degrees) and saw this moon in the clouds. I grabbed my camera and took several shots, hand held. It was quite clouded over, with thunderstorms threatening, and there had been a fire nearby. I couldn't see the smoke in the air, but the camera picked it up. I liked the end result, kind of eerie and beautiful at the same time.
I was wandering around, killing time before my flight from the El Paso, Texas airport, and saw this little corner designed as a Service Dog Relief Station. I'd never seen this anywhere before, and thought it was very cute (and quite useful, I assume).
