Hands of Peace ~ This is detail of a gilt statue at Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights, California. It is the largest Buddhist Temple and Monastery in North America. There are many gardens, statues and flowers. This statue particularly appealed to me.

Self Portrait at Jumbo Rocks ~ Standing atop the huge rocks at Jumbo Rocks Campground at Joshua Tree National Park, I looked down and saw my shadow on the rock below. Couldn't resist taking a self-portrait in memory of a great day in the all outdoors.
