This sign was in the window of a retail store along State Street in Redlands, which I saw while walking up and down the street during the dining out event one Saturday night. As our schools continue to remain closed to in-classroom teaching due to Covid-19, apparently some are concerned (tongue-in-cheek or not) regarding the education of our young people! I think the sign was meant to be funny, but I'm not 100% sure... 9/7/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
A few weeks ago I posted a pic of this large "love" sign which was recently painted on the side of a jewelry store in downtown Redlands. Last Saturday night when I went walking in downtowm. I saw this group of kids posed in front of the sign to have their photo taken--so I grabbed a shot as well. I guess it's a sign of the times, when wearing masks like this looks to natural, even at picture-taking time! I just checked the weather forecast, and it's now supposed to get to 119 degrees today, and "only" 118 on Sunday...sigh... 9/5/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
A few years ago I was on a birding trip down on the Orange Country coastal beaches. After I had birded at Bolsa Chica wetlands, I headed for home, and ran across a kite festival taking place at Huntington Beach, near the pier. It was a very festive and colorful event, with many unique kites, all flying on the coastal breeze. Since it was a birding trip, I thought I'd post this parrot kite, one of my favorites. 4/23/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
