These fun metal dinosaur sculptures greeted me at the gate of the nursery/garden shop I visited in Morongo Valley, CA. This was the site of an art gallery as well (posted a couple of days ago), and there was a resident cat and several resident chickens. You can tell this is a very small town (about 3,000 people), with a quite limited number of businesses. It is close to Joshua Tree National Park and the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, an excellent birding location. 12/5/19 Judith Sparhawk
I had lunch with a friend yesterday at a cute little restaurant, Granlund's, in Yucaipa, CA. As I was leaving, this window attracted my attention, so took a quick cell phone shot of it. It took some filtering to adjust for the difficult lighting, and I'm not sure it does it justice, but it captures a bit of the feeling I had when I saw it. 12/19/19 Judith Sparhawk
i was visiting a rather old, historic site in Desert Hot Springs, CA, and saw this great old wooden door. Outside the door, however, was a really ugly courtyard--just didn't do the door justice. So I played around with the image, and transported a view from near Joshua Tree National Park, to give a nice view out the door. 12/6/19 Judith Sparhawk
