This neon sign was in the restaurant where we ate lunch on the Route 66 field trip, Di Napoli Firehouse Restaurant. Can't pass up a neon sign like this, right?
On Route 66 in Oro Grande, in front of the Cross Eyed Cow Pizza (the one with the cow and the bicycle on the roof) was this bench made from the end of a pick up truck, fenders, bumper, tail gate, license plate and all. I thought it was funny that they posted a sign about using genuine Chevrolet parts.
When on the Route 66 field trip, we stopped at the Barstow Train Depot. Inside the depot, I peeked into this empty room. It had a highly polished floor and old lamps. I liked the soft light from the lamps and the light coming in the windows, forming reflections on the floor. 10/23/18 Judith Sparhawk
