While visiting the Kimberly Crest mansion in Redlands, CA, I noticed the old carriage house on the grounds. It now holds the gift shop, but I liked the many angles and lines of the roof line, and focused on that. 3/30/19 Judith Sparhawk
The last rain storm ended, leaving the snow level quite a bit lower than usual. I got out for the afternoon yesterday, and saw these snow covered trees at the top of the mountains. Admittedly this was taken with my 400 mm zoom, so it looks closer than it was, but this was the sight above Redlands, from a lower peak that doesn't always get snow. Supposed to be more rain tomorrow, but look at that blue sky! 2/20/19 Judith Sparhawk
This is a piece of public art in Redlands, where I live, The Sister Cities Clock Tower. It was installed a few months ago in Ed Hale Park in downtown. The three clocks reflect the local times in Redlands' three sister cities, Hino in Japan; San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, and Linli in China. Below the clocks is a kinetic sculptural element that releases steel balls at the top of the hour, which spiral their way down to the bottom. The clock tower acts as the southwest entry into the park. 10/25/19 Judith Sparhawk
