This beautiful Scarlet Tanager was one of many birds at a preserve in a wood lot on South Padre Island, Texas. The preserve is about a block from the Gulf, and is a haven for migrating birds flying in for a bit of R&R before migrating on. 4/27/23 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Yesterday I mentioned how the birding in south Texas were such a rainbow of colors. This one, a male Painted Bunting, is a rainbow all by itself! There's nothing quite like April birding in south Texas! The birds are a wonderful rainbow of colors, and are most everywhere you look. Back from a birding trip in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. I hope you won't get tired of seeing the birds I brought back via my camera!
