I know I've posted other Wood Duck shots, but I ran across this one and decided I liked it a lot and wanted to add it to the mix. Taken at Yucaipa Regional Park, Yucaipa, CA. 1/31/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
When I was out shooting the moon the other day, as I got back home, the moon had risen to the point it was showing through the trees. By then the snowy mountains were golden from the sunset. There's something about a full moon that gets me every time I see one! 1/30/21 www.sprhawkphotography.com
When birding at Yucaipa Regional Park, I spotted several pairs of Buffleheads. This is a male, which is more strikingly marked than the female. Most of the time this small duck looks just black and white, but in the right light, iridescent purples and greens can be seen in the head feathers. He's a real cutie! 1/29/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
