This small tern was flying back and forth along a lagoon in Imperial Beach, CA. It was the first outing with my new camera, and I had trouble with focusing on a bird in flight. I still liked the graceful flight, during which it dove straight down into the water to catch fish, then came back up to fly on, over and over again. 6/26/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
I had forgotten about this shot I took on my last San Diego trip for Mother's Day. I had birded down in Imperial Beach, in the Tijuana River Estuary Preserve, and saw a large group of wild rose bushes. The honeybees had found them as well.
