While birding down at La Jolla Cove, I first heard, and then saw, this Song Sparrow singing his little heart out. He was so intent on his song that he ignored me completely as I came closer to shoot him in the act. 3/26/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
During my recent visit to San Diego Safari Park, I went to a new section that has opened since I was last there, Australian Walkabout. There are currently several Mother Western Gray Kangaroos, each with one very cute baby. This image is of one young one. She was very active, hopping about, then hurrying back to Momma. She finally stopped long enough for me to grab a couple of quick shots. 3/25/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Back from a few days in San Diego, visiting family and birding. Among other places I want was San Diego Safari Park, where I found this weaver and its nest. This bird is native to Tanzania and Kenya in Africa, so is a captive bird. I usually just photograph birds in the wild, but this one was so accommodating around its nest, I couldn't resist. The opening of the next in the bottom, and it did go in and out this way while I watched. 3/24/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
