April is the month of blooming orange trees in Redlands. This particular flower was photographed at the beginning of the trail through San Timoteo Canyon the other day. The scent of orange blossoms is intoxicating to me. In years past, when there were many more orange groves in town, the scent of these flowers permeated everything, especially in the quiet of an April evening. Tonight I went out to get my mail, and I could smell this wonderful scent in the air. It made me choose this image as my offering for today. 4/24/19 Judith Sparhawk
This colorful art piece is across the street from the Beach in Santa Barbara, CA. I have driven past it before and wanted to photograph it, but the traffic and timing was never right. On my way up to Morro Bay last week I drove by again, and made a quick turn to get to a good spot to shoot it. Very glad I did this time! 11/17/18 Judith Sparhawk
