This is a photograph of a collage I created a few years ago. For over 25 years I taught a creativity workshop. One of the assignments I gave my students was to make a collage from a collection of found images--either a dream board, or things they wished to see or do, or even just things they liked. While I was organizing my art room, I started looking at the many collages I had made for my classes. I realized I really still like them, and began photographing bits and pieces of them. This is a corner of one of those collages. It was fun looking back... 4/30/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
I ran across this beautiful design and couldn't resist photographing it. I did make a few changes in color and design. I thought it was so bright and cheery, it would be good for today. 4/29/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
Not my usual shot, but this was the view from just outside my condo complex when I got home from work today. This wildfire in Cherry Valley, CA, began the night before, and as of this afternoon had burned over 4500 acres, including one home. It was considered 0% contained. It was about 105 degrees, and you can see there was little to no wind, as the smoke plume was extending up and up. The mountains are some you have seen before with snow on them--quite a different view in August! I think of the many firefighters, heavily dressed and weighed down with equipment, at 105 degrees, working over rugged terrain--our heroes! 8/2/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
