Going back to the serendipitous bubbles-in-the-dirty-dishes day, one view of the bubbles showed lines of shadows coming down from the bubbles, and then were refracted in the surface of the bubbles. Maybe that doesn't really describe it, but it made for an interesting pattern. For this image, I played with the colors to make them brighter a a bit more dramatic. 5/23/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
One of the gardens I sometime pass on my walks, has a lot of these succulent plants. I really like their shaped and rosette look. Of course they don't look quite like this--when I was editing one of my shots I really didn't like the way the colors turned out, so I decided to play with a Topaz filter to see what I got. This wasn't exactly what I had planned, but I decided I liked the "very unreal" look of it. 5/22/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
This composite was created by combining one of the abstract images I made a few days ago, and the etched glass nautilus shell from the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. 5/21/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
