New Years Day--Time to Look Back
I ran across this photo today, reminiscing of long ago days, and decided to post it for the first day of 2020. I didn't take this shot, as I hadn't mastered the mysteries of the camera yet--that is me on the right, sitting next to my twin sister. I believe we were one year old, and we are sitting on the running board of our car, out in front of our little house in Anchorage, Alaska. As this was over 75 years ago, I had to look WAY back for this one. Of course I don't recall this exact moment, but I do remember the car, the house (my dad was building a storm porch at the time), and I even have some memories there from age three. WWII was in progress, and my dad was an electronics engineer for the US Army, establishing radar station throughout Alaska.
So much for the trip down memory lane--time to look forward into the new year!
