This is the third piece of public art along the street in Loma Linda, CA. It just so happened that at this location, along the sidewalk, were several flowering orange trees, with lots of buzzing bees all around. It seemed very fitting for this artwork to be right there. 3/18/22 www.sparhawkphotographycom
Yesterday I posted a pic of public art I discovered at the side of the street in Loma Linda, CA. This was the second art piece I saw as I drove along. After parking, I walked back to photograph the three pieces. They were all right at the side of the road, and the best vantage point would have been the middle of the very busy street (which I didn't attempt). So here is the Wise Old Owl, my title, as there was no information regarding the artist or the art. 3/17/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
I was driving on a street I hadn't been on for quite awhile and saw several pieces of art along the side of the road. I found a place to park and walked back. This is just a tiny corner of an interesting sculpture of a large plant and a bunch of leaf-cutter ants. The size and shape of the sculpture made it hard to photograph effectively, but I especially liked this bit with the ant's shadow showing on the ground.
