A black & white version of this tulip bloom being visited by a honeybee. As I've said, I don't usually think of b&w for flower shots, but I think it works here. 3/6/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
This is a painterly version of an old barn I saw in Forks, Washington a few years ago. I loved the gray color that wood seems to acquire with weather and age in that area. The barn was framed by apple blossoms on the nearby trees. 3/5/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
This is a b&w version of a night blooming cereus, a type of cactus that blooms at night, just for one night. There are many types, but I believe this is one called Queen of the Night, which is a wonderful name! In the b&w I kind of miss the pale yellow center and green outer leaves, but I do like the delicacy of it this way. 3/4/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
