I know that over the years I have shown quite a number of ocean shots. This isn't just another one--no, this one is different, because it's about the only one of the Atlantic Ocean instead of the Pacific! This was taken off the beach at Spanish River State Park, Boca Raton Florida. Maybe the "ocean is an ocean", but it really did have a different feel from what I am used to, so I had to grab a shot of it. 7/6/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Several years ago, I took a Street Photography workshop in downtown Los Angeles. We covered about 8 miles that day, and stopped at many locations. In the Bunker Hill area, amid many very tall buildings, I looked down this passageway and saw a Buddhist Temple hidden away, almost out of sight. I liked the look of it juxtaposed with all the skyscrapers. As we walked by, this young man was leaving the temple--he may have been a monk, or just a visitor. 7/5/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
In playing with fireworks and the kittens, I had this story in my mind about the little guys seeing fireworks for the first time, and their possible reactions to all the color and moving lights. In reality, of course, cats would probably be hiding under the bed with all the loud noises, and certainly wouldn't be getting the light show like this. I like my version of the story better! Enjoy your 4th of July! 7/4/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
