At the first place we stayed in Arizona, in Madera Canyon, we had a great back porch on the cabin, to sit and enjoy the creek and view of the mountainside. Daily, we had Wild Turkeys wandering around, and at the end of the day, flying up into the tall Cottonwood trees, to roost for the night. After awhile they seemed like old friends who dropped by for a visit. This is two of the about a dozen turkeys that roosted above the cabin. 9/3/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Back from a week and a half birding trip in Southeast Arizona. August in Arizona?? Yes, most years I do a trip to this area for the wonderful birds there this time of year. I visited in the Santa Rita Mountains, to canyons in the Huachuca Mountains and in the Chiricahua Mountains. This image is from Cave Creek Canyon in the Chiricahuas. There are canyon walls towering above, and being monsoon season, everything was green and beautiful. I will be sharing images from the trip of all the wonderful things I saw. BTW, when I got home from Arizona, it was 110 degrees, much hotter than any temps I experienced there! 9/2/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Having fun with the idea of one of my favorite pastimes...so what do you do when it's too hot to go out birding? Play on my computer, a/c on, of course! Just for fun, an addition to my cat series. I will be away from my computer for awhile, so won't be able to post or comment for the time being. I will catch up later when I can. 8/20/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
