This is a portion of a very imaginative mural I spotted at Venice Beach, California. It was taken several years ago, so I don't recall just where it was, but I suspect it was on or near Moe's Restaurant. It seems to me that was where our camera club group ate lunch on the photowalk day. Yesterday's post showed a pair of Brandt's Cormorants; getting lovey-dovey. This one is an-as-yet bachelor, having put together some nesting material, and is displaying again and again, hoping to win the heart of some sweet young thing. He's flashing his bright blue throat pouch, saying "aren't I a handsome dude?" Ah well, it's early in the season yet.... 12/8/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
