For over 25 years I taught a creativity class to adults. One of the assignments I gave my students was to make a collage of found images that had special meaning to them.. Over the years I made many of these collages. I was looking at them the other day, and enjoyed them all over again. This is just a corner of one of the collages--clearly I was in a beach mood when I made it! I will likely be posting some of my favorites from time to time. 5/6/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
When I was birding down at Salton Sea last Sunday, I traveled past many agricultural fields. Most of the crops are pretty dull, but there was one area with flowers as the crop. I believe these are Stock, in many different colors. In the background, before the mountains, are huge stacks of hay bales beside the fields where they were harvested. 4/10/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
Hiking in San Timoteo Canyon the other day, almost everything was dry after a long hot summer, going to seed or just dried out. One of the weeds I noticed was this one, with a delicate feel to it. I processed it to give it a posterized look, including the trees and bit of sky in the background. 10/19/19 Judith Sparhawk
