This spoonbill was one of 4 on this log out in the wetlands at the convention center on South Padre Island, Texas. I tried to get a great shot of them all standing in a row, but the other 3 buried their heads under their wings and looked like big pink blobs. At least this one raised his head to show his large bill from which he got his name, so he got to go solo for his portrait. 5/11/23 www.sparhawkphotography.com
