This beautiful columbine was photographed in a park in Alaska. One of the thing I noticed about flowers in June in Alaska was the large size of many of them There is a short growing and blooming period there, and everything seems to bloom like gangbusters! This columbine flower was about 4 to 5 inches across. I loved the colors, which I'd never seen anywhere before. 7/30/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
This lovely serene lake is the largest freshwater body of water on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. We drove through some beautiful spruce forests to get to the lake. There were Arctic Terns and gulls perched on the tops of spruce trees around the lake. That was something I had never seen. It's hard to imagine it's been over 4 years since I was there in Alaska. 7/29/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
A few miles north of Seward, Alaska, this large lake was right beside the road. It was filled with Indian Pond Lilies, with their yellow blossoms. Everything was green and lush, with mountains all around! 7/28/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
