This was the sunset at the end of the day it snowed in Redlands. The snowstorm moved on, leaving sunshine and pretty puffy white clouds. By sunset, these really are the colors that painted the western sky! 2/25/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
When I was walking in the orange grove, enjoying the scent of the orange blossoms, I was surprised (happily) when this Western Swallowtail butterfly fluttered up to the flower I had been sniffing. It allowed me to get several shots before it flew on. I guess it was appreciating the fragrant blossoms as well! 2/23/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
I always love the red eye on the Spotted Towhees we see around here. They are fairly common, although they tend to skulk around under bushes, so I hear them more often than see them. 2/20/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
