One morning while I was up in Morro Bay, I saw this fun view of the man on a paddleboard, out with his dog. It made me smile, thinking of it as the Morro Bay version of taking the dog for his morning walk! ;-) 12/16/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
There is a stretch of central California, driving up the 101, that is still quite rural, full of rolling hills. This view of the hillsides and one lone old oak tree is quintessential central California. While driving up toward Morro Bay, I saw many views that I would have liked to shoot, with the hills starting to green up from the rains, but I couldn't always stop. This lone tree was an exception. 12/15/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
While walking on the boardwalk by the campground at Morro Bay State Park, there were quite a lot of quail scurrying around in the grassy "land" side of the walk. You wouldn't believe how many bad photos I took of them--they kept running away from me, hiding in the grass, being very careful NOT to pose for me! This couple made a mistake and paused for a second--score! I was happy to see so many quail, as the last few years of drought have really decreased their numbers. 12/14/22 www.sparhawkphotography.com
