I was walking in downtown Redlands the other night and saw this fall display in a home decor store. I liked the velvet pumpkins and other veggies that were part of the display--not to mention the porcupine in the background. CHALLENGE?? Shall we challenge ourselves to do a group recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, blasting the page with pink for the last Sunday in October, as we have the last few years. It is personal for many of us, and is a good tribute and reminder. This was a request by Tina Marie Gardner, a long-time Smugger, who asked that we continue the tradition after her passing. I know that last Sunday is Halloween, not the usual day we would choose, but shall we keep the tradition alive? I will be away from my computer for a few days, and will catch up with you all later. 10/23/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
The last from my Redlands Photowalk series, this lovely window detail from the building that was once the Redlands City Hall. This ornate window and balcony is just too nice for a civic building--it looks like a good spot for Juliet to be standing, looking for her Romeo. 10/20/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
Here is one of the other windows in the Children's Reading Room at the public library in Redlands. It was fun seeing what the children see when there. I remember all the happy hours I spent in the library as a child, as I was an avid reader from age 4 when I taught myself to read, all the way to today. 10/19/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
