Yesterday I attended a friend's wedding. She had asked me to take photos (I AM NOT A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!) and I had agreed to take informal photos throughout the ceremony and reception. Toward the end of a rather long ceremony, while her relative in the pew in front of me was using his phone to take a video, his son was getting restless. He began making faces at me, trying to distract me from shooting the bridal couple. I did grab a couple of him, as I thought it was quite a story-telling moment. His dad never knew a thing about it! 3/19/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
At the wedding I attended last Sunday, the cake was beautiful, covered with roses. This view shows the ceremonial cutting of the cake, with the bride's daughter looking on. I liked the intent look on her face, keeping her eye on the cake. 3/11/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
OK, I promise I won't bore you all with a lot of family photos, but when I ran across my Dad's picture, I also found this one. This shows my twin sister and I "reading" on the couch in Alaska. I'm the one on the left, and my sister Maggie is on the right. We were three years old at the time of this photo. When I photographed the old print, I noticed that it shows some of the texture of the paper it was originally printed on. I'm not sure if I like that or not, but that's what I got. My mother had a makeshift "darkroom" for enlarging and printing--actually the kitchen in our small house in Anchorage, used only after dark, of course! 6/30/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
