This pretty butterfly was photographed at San Diego Safari Park. Most of the time it was fluttering its wings very quickly, and was difficult to shoot. This was taken while it was fluttering, but I was lucky enough to almost stop the action.
This butterfly was in the seasonal exhibit at San Diego Safari Park. Although most of the were more colorful, there was something about the delicacy of this one that I really liked. 4/11/19 Judith Sparhawk
This very pretty butterfly is an Erato Heliconian, and was photographed at San Diego Safari Park the other day. My artist's eye would have preferred it light on flowers more color coordinated with its wing spots, but I guess there's no acountin' for taste! ;-) 4/13/19 Judith Sparhawk
