This baby snail crawled out of some calla lilies I brought into the house to photograph. His shell was only about 1/4 inch long! Despite his small size, he was quite agile in moving about the flowers. As with most baby creatures, I found him to be quite cute, though I'm sure most gardeners among us would disagree with me! 3/8/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
This busy little honey bee was photographed as it buzzed around the flowering Brittlebush at Whitewater Nature Preserve in Southern California. 1/22/20 Judith Sparhawk
Not one of my more gorgeous photos, but I found this interesting. All these honeybees were congregating at a mud puddle I walked past. I knew there were bee boxes nearby, but I hadn't seen many bees buzzing around. (One of these may have been the one on the sunflower I posted recently.) Maybe all that flying must have made them thirsty! 3/2/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
