Here Comes the Sun ~ This mass of Monarch Butterflies was struck by the sun's rays, causing the butterflies to begin opening their wings and to start to fly.
Monarchs Alight ~ When the wintering Monarchs clump together in the trees, and are in shade, their wings remain closed. When even a ray of sunshine hits them, their wings begin to open, showing the bright upper wings. With enough sun, they begin to flutter and fly around the grove.
