Deer at Virginia Lakes ~ At the campground near Virginia Lakes there was a small meadow and lake. This deer was grazing in the meadow, in the morning light.
Mama Marmot ~ This nursing mother marmot was standing at attention, protecting her burrow, in which there were at least two baby marmots. Dad was nearby, keeping an eye on things and maybe hunting breakfast.
