When I was on my evening walk, I saw this kitty for the first time. It wouldn't let me get too close, even with a fence between us. I liked the color of its eyes and the long hair on its tail and lower back.
When I was working on my recent cats-in-boxes composite I ran across this image of Trixie, my granddaughter's cat who lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It wasn't one I could use in the composite (two other Trixie shots made it in), but I noticed how this portrait really captures her intense look and her beautiful yellow eyes. 4/23/20 My website: wwwsparhawkphotography.com
Last Sunday I made a day trip down to Salton Sea for birding. I got some good birds, but took almost no photographs. While hiking out to Rock Hill, I spotted this Coyote watching me. He apparently felt pretty safe--he was quite a ways from me, with a deep irrigation ditch between us. When I first saw him I didn't even have my camera with me, so I went back to the car to get it, and believe it or not, he was still in sight! He walked along, but I was able to keep up with him, and he kept looking over at me. This isn't the greatest shot, as it was cropped a lot, and was taken in noon light, but I thought he was quite beautiful. 4/8/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
