This quite handsome fellow was zipping around the Sonny Bono Visitor's Center at Salton Sea. I was there birding last weekend, and spotted him doing his pushups right in front of my parked car. Unfortunately by the time I grabbed my camera and got out of the car to shoot, he had moved on. I wandered around until I found him, and got a few shots before he slithered into the bushes. I had wanted to show him doing pushups, as he had a very pretty blue belly, but no such luck! He was about 9 inches long, so he was a good-sized lizard! 6/8/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
This image is from about a year ago from a visit to the Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA. I hadn't edited it before, I think because I hadn't gotten a clear view of the fox. Looking at it again, I kind of liked how the fox is looking through the grasses, almost looking as if he thinks he is hidden. Sorry, my camera spotted you! 2/17/20
