Klassic Koi ~ These brilliant koi were in a feeding frenzy in a stream by the lily pond at Descanso Gardens. They were moving so quickly, darting back and forth, that I wasn't sure how the photo would work out. I kind of liked the movement of fish and water suggested in this image, and the bits of blue sky through the trees, reflected on the water.
Turtle, Reflected ~ This turtle was about 8 inches long, and sunning in one of the ponds at Descanso Gardens. I liked his markings, and the reflection in the still water.
Momma Squirrel at Lunch ~ This (possibly) nursing mother squirrel was munching on some goodie, completely oblivious to the annoying photographer that kept creeping closer, trying to get the shot through the bushes. Although in the shadows, I liked the catch light in her eye.
